Reviewing this list of common reasons for cryptocurrency miners to not work will provide you with the right direction, and steps to correct the issue.

When your mining software is properly setup everything should just work. Sometimes things happen though, here are the common reasons to help you investigate.

Mining Cryptocurrency on a VPN: If you are connected to a VPN while mining cryptocurrency you may experience a variety of issues. Some mining pools may block your VPN entirely, and in some cases using a VPN can cause your connection to become to slow and lead to rejected shares. If your miner submits too many rejected shares, the mining pool may choose to block your connection temporarily. Disconnect from the VPN and wait 5-10 minutes before retrying to mine cryptocurrency.

Too Many Connections: If your miner is not properly configured, it can send too many worker requests to the mining pool. This will often result in a temporary submission until the number of workers falls back to an accepted level. The solution in this case is to use a mining proxy, which connects all of your mining devices and communicates to the mining pool as a singular worker.
